Season Numbering Inconsistent Due to S1 and S2 Sometimes Being Combined Into Single S1, Large gap before 2023 revival.

[edit]

Some websites that track TV shows have combined S1 and S2 (10 and 12 episodes each) into a single S1 entry of 22 episodes. This makes it tricky when referring to episodes by number or using media systems such as Plex, Jellyfin, etc with different episode database sources.

With the long gap between 2014 and 2023 episodes, some websites have considered Kitchen Nightmares re-launched in 2023 and thus started new season numbers (as of July 2026 the 2023 re-launch would be on Season 3).

 S1 10 episodes, S2 12 episodes -

 2023 relaunch season numbering (S1 in 2023) -

I'm not sure there's an actionable consensus to change anything but wanted to create some documentation in the talk for issues with season numbering. Jwfowble (talk) 00:35, 23 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
