- Killara is also home to Killara High school, famous for having Elle Macpherson as a students. Killara High is situated in Koola avenue, East Killara. Killara High's current principal is Dr Mark Carter along with it's deputy principals Ken Hopley and Glenda Robinson. Killara is the only public non selective school on the north shore that offers Hebrew via the Board of jewish education. This makes Killara High a target for many Jewish students who can't afford Masada College in St. Ives. Killara High has an excellent reputation and brings out many top HSC marks each year.

Repeated vandalism from 174.52.112.234
[edit]I suggest some kind of ban be placed on 174.52.112.234 for repeatedly vandalising the article. He keeps tampering with the list of notable residents, adding such people as:
- Jono caroll-Goldin, a man, a myth, a legend
- Mark Asbjerg, Son of the Great Benny Asbjerg Ice cream guru
