Sudorific? online dictionary defines that more-or less as "sweaty".

I don't know about that, but Jamil Jan Kochai's short story "The Night of the Khatam" is about a social gathering of Afghan expatriots, and google has a lot of sites expounding on the theological significance of khatam as 'seal'.
