Ahirani Wikipedia in incubation

My native place is 5 km south from border of Khandeshi language speaking area. Many relatives speak Khandeshi. The people in Nashik district mostly refer the language as Khandeshi, but they not deny the name Ahirani. But the people of Jalgaon and in Dhule refer the language as Ahirani. The Khandeshi spoken area is clearly devided by the Ajintha Satmala mountain range running from Vani, Chandwad, to Girnare. Thereafter the distinction line aligns with Border of Malegaon Tehsil and Nandgaon tehsil. The dividing line also aligns the Kalwan Tehsil, Deola Tehsil and Malegaon Tehsil. Surprisingly there is no overlap of Ahirani speakers and the people speaking local dialect of Marathi on south side.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 14.97.27.173 (talk) 18:53, 14 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Disputed reference on name of region

[edit]

Reference to Khandesh name to Khan + desh is mischievous by author as there is no proof or solid reference Stbee18 (talk) 08:46, 23 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

The article is already tagged for WP:OR. Many parts are unsourced. I've removed most of the Etymology section due to this issue. Elizium23 (talk) 09:35, 23 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
