Notability

[edit]

Does this article meet WP:NBIO? The four Dawn links are obituary notices rather than substantive independent coverage, and much of the article, the library claim, the Sunday meetings, the students list, is unsourced. It needs reliable independent sources that would establish notability beyond the subject's professional circle. What's your take, @Aafi Crosji (talk) 03:20, 21 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

There is something interesting here: this Urdu piece, and a detailed coverage over several pages here, in Among the Believers by V. S. Naipaul. This and this show how he is seen in the academic circle. This put together with the reports that talk about his death, should be sufficient. Also one of the sources mentioned that there is a biographical book that discusses him and his work. I am sure there would be more but I don't really have that much time to look around. signed, Aafi (talk) 03:50, 21 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yes, that's fair enough, and reason for hope that the article can still be improved. Thanks for your input either way. Anyone interested is welcome to pick it up from here. Crosji (talk) 10:20, 21 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
