A series of historical maps of the area around Kfar Chabad (click the buttons)
As can be seen from the 1957 map, there was a time when Shafrir and Kfar Chabad were different places. This contradicts the story in the article that only the name varied. I don't know a text source that explains this. Zerotalk14:24, 12 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
To make it more interesting, a 1958 Israeli map at a lower resolution shows "Kfar Chabad" where it is is shown on the 1957 map, and "Tochelet" (תוֹחֶלֶת) where al-Safariyya used to be. Zerotalk06:54, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
