objection to propsal to delete.

Since I probaly stated this I don't think i am allowed to remove the template. Keystone was one of the pioneering makers of Motion Picture cameras. Their business was as a major supplier of movie cameras for the home market from the 1930s to the 1960s. they also survivied in the still camera business long after the North american industry was taken over by the japaniese.cmacd 12:30, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

I also support a Keep for this article - notability is clearly established by the subject matter; there are only so many manufacturers of professionally-made equipment in this field. I put a tag on this article after I Googled the company and found there was not a lot of information on them. This led me to believe that this article subject could not pass the google test for notability. I am not saying that they are not a verifiable or legitimate company, I just think to be an article subject they need to have more meat on the bone. There have been a great deal of articles that have a lot more notabilty than this one deleted because of lack of notability. I support a Keep for this article - I will try to find references for the Market penetration of KEYSTONE into the Consumer 8 and 16 mm home movie market. Many Keystone 16mm camera's were used for informal footage shot by infantry during the Korean and early Vietnam conflicts, due to their lower cost and light weight. They were ubiquitous & had advertisements in most leading magazines of the 50's & 60's. I used 2 myself, along with the 8mm projector which was notable for its cast metal Art Deco style . I believe it might be a Keystone that Don Draper is shown using while filming home movies in "Mad Men". They were definitely part of the Populuxe decades and many budding young film makers may have started out on them. It Also didn't hurt that they adopted the Market Name of one of the crucial founding studios in old Hollywood. . Mbd 7:13, 01 June 2012 (UTC)
