list/prose
[edit]This article was tagged as being in list format that would be better suited to prose. I disagree: the problem is that it lacks prose, the lists are fine as list but it needs material added. I'm removing the prose tag, but won't object to it being replaced if people want to (please leave a comment here if you do.) RJFJR (talk) 21:12, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
Ejection from academia
[edit]I was told Kerry was fired from academia from inappropriate conduct. Any truth in this? 2403:5815:3C10:0:5D81:2D57:FD6C:5409 (talk) 13:27, 12 December 2023 (UTC).
- Not in the slightest. Where did you hear this? 58.110.226.20 (talk) 14:55, 8 May 2024 (UTC)
- Could an editor please remove the section about ejection from academia. It is not true. He worked up until his health made it impossible for him to teach. Adc83 (talk) 11:52, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
Inaccurate information
[edit]The information pertaining to Miss DeCamp on this page are inaccurate and should be removed. Further, Mr Casey remained married to Maria Moutoudis up to the date of his death in 2015, so the 1992 date needs to be changed.
Also, in reference to Mr Casey's Master's Thesis, it is clear that the person who added that information to the article has not read the thesis or misunderstood it. It is not about Australian soldiers who fought for England, it is about Irish Diaspora soldiers who fought in the Irish War of Independence. It is misrepresenting and misleading to suggest otherwise and needs to be changed.
There is a reference to Kerry Casey appearing in a play in New York in 1984 called Messy Diaper Love, is there a source for this? He did not visit the United States until 1994 and certainly never appeared on Broadway, there is also no record of a play of this title ever showing on Broadway. Could an Editor please review and remove. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adc83 (talk • contribs)
- @Adc83: The obituary in The Sydney Morning Herald makes it clear that Casey separated from Moutoudis in 1992, and that he began a long-time relationship with Decamp in 2005. Whether he actually ever divorced Moutoudis is somewhat irrelevant. I have corrected the synopsis of Casey's master's thesis. I've also deleted the reference to "Messy Diaper Love." This was clearly just juvenile vandalism. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:46, 17 June 2025 (UTC)
- Subsequent to the publication of the obituary, private information has come to light questioning the 2005 timeframe. Adc83 (talk) 12:04, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
