Women’s Softball
[edit]After baseball, women came out in softball. It was fantastic in the early 60’s. A few teams spread out in DFW area. Arizona had a few teams. These weren’t professional or substitutes for men at war. They were young women who could really play ball. Not many of them living, today. I remember a black women’s team in Ft Worth, Texas, no white woman’s team would play them, except one. I watched that game and it was brilliant, fun, fantastic.
