Choosing the article title
[edit]I am wondering if someone can tell me how the article title was chosen. I am not convinced it should be changed, but I would like to see it based on some logic. Here's what I know:
- # of google hits is an order of magnitude higher for Keyvan than anything else
- Linguistically speaking (and synchronically speaking), Keyvan is both the closest transliteration from the Persian script as well as the closest to IPA
- Linguistically speaking (and diachronically speaking), I don't know enough, but I wonder if someone would claim Kayvan is more relevant across the time and space of the Persian language? (Because otherwise I can't see why that's the title of the article)
- Kayvon is the most accessible spelling for an uneducated monolingual English speaker
