The phases "noble" (kava) and "non-noble.[51][11]" are defined within the "Characteristics" section (hidden at page open).

Could the section name "Characteristics" be changed to "Characteristics and Noble Cultivars", or

Could local hyperlinks be created to definitions on the page for terms "noble (kavas)" and to "non-noble (kavas)"? ChgoJohn (talk) 15:58, 15 March 2024 (UTC)

weirdly phrased part

"2024: Noble Kava is now available for purchase at Coles supermarkets in the health food section. The prepared drink (one teaspoon of powder mixed with 200ml of water) looks like slightly muddied water, and curiously tastes like it looks, a natural 'earthy' flavour.

It can be mixed with other flavoured product, such as cordial to decrease the earthy taste.

It definitely makes your tongue a little numb, but works wonders for creating a very relaxed and drowsy feeling."

Tons of weasel words

Under effects: “However, it can be stated that in general, noble kava produces a state of calmness, relaxation, and well-being without diminishing cognitive performance.”

“In particular, it has been noted that, unlike traditional water-based preparations, products obtained with the use of organic solvents do not contain glutathione, an important liver-protecting compound.” We can just drop language like “it has been noted that” here.

”It has also been argued that kavalactone extracts are often made from low-quality plant material, including the toxic aerial parts of the plant that contain the hepatotoxic alkaloid pipermethystine, non-noble kava varieties, or plants affected by mold.”

I propose removing weasel words/phrases like these from the article and to simplify the language DylanHRush (talk) 04:50, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
