Case against speedy deletion according to Criteria for Notability of People: 1. Kate Gale is the subject of published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent, and independent of the subject. (Sources: Los Angeles Times, LAWEEKLY, etc. to be added to wiki. 2. Kate Gale has received significant recognized awards or honors. (see wiki) 3. Kate Gale has demonstrable wide name recognition. 4. Kate Gale has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in the field of independent publishing, specifically in Los Angeles/Southern California. 5. Kate Gale is known for originating a significant new concept, theory or technique in the field of independent publishing, as evidenced by her record of workshops and panels (to be added to wiki). The lead section of the article needs to be long-- use it to describe why she is important, what her poetry covers, and other important information. The public speaking list is long and cumbersome; I have not checked to see if this type of list can exist in such an article, but I think it should at least be shortened for style purposes. I Do think this article has merrit and should stay, but it needs to be cleaned up to meet WP standardsMrathel (talk) 19:28, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Under "Libretto", please delete "Kindred adapted from the novel by Octavia Butler with composer Billy Childs" as the production of this libretto was cancelled. And rename "Ravi's Dream with composer Michael Roth" to "The Web Opera with composer Michael Roth", as this is the actual name of the libretto.[1]
