The word karbanátek came to us from German, where the words Karbenatl and Karbonade are from the French carbonnade, which is from the Italian carbonata, which means "roasted on coals", because in Italian the word for coal is carbone. I am lazy to search for Polish source. I am surprized Silesians do not know the etymology of Karminadl. --Altenmann >talk 07:31, 31 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
