Obsolete genus

[edit]

I believe this genus is now obsolete, having been merged into Pangshura. Members should be reclassified. Bruinfan12 (talk) 10:09, 15 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

For clarity all members went to Batagur, none went to Pangshura. Regards, SunCreator (talk) 22:48, 29 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Some members may still remain. Bruinfan12 (talk) 10:25, 15 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

None since 2008. http://www.iucn-tftsg.org/wp-content/uploads/file/Accounts/crm_5_000_checklist_v1_2008.pdf Regards, SunCreator (talk) 22:48, 29 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
None remain in the genus. However, while some were moved to Batagur, others were moved to Pangshura earlier. Until the mid-90s (and as a consequence still in much of the available literature), "Kachuga" included all the "roofed turtles". See e.g. Ernst and Barbour's standard work Turtles of the World (1992). RN1970 (talk) 19:33, 12 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
