French navy

[edit]

Why is the paragraph about French naval vessels in this article about certain Japanese ships? If there is a connection, it should be made clear. As it is, we don't know if they were built in Japan, bought from France, resembled the Japanese ships, or what.--Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 23:46, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

As clearly stated in the article, 12 ships of this same class of vessel were built in Japan for the French Navy. I will add a few words to try to make this even more explicit. --MChew (talk) 00:54, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Naming of Shipyards

[edit]

My understanding is as follows:

The Mitsubishi Heavy Industries name did not exist in 1914 (Should be ??Mitsubishi Shipyards??) The Kawasaki Shipbuilding name did not exist in 1914 (Should be Kawasaki Dockyard Co.) Lǐshìmǎn (talk) 02:22, 30 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
