KQYT callsign

[edit]

I changed the date when the KRFM callsign was changed to KQYT from the "mid 1980s" to the "late 1970s." I worked at KQYT in the 1979-1984 time period, so I know that saying the callsign changed in the "mid 1980s" is incorrect. To the best of my knowledge, the change from KRFM to KQYT was in 1978, or possibly early 1979, shortly before I arrived on the scene in late 1979.

Also, I changed the date of the callsign change from KQYT to KOY. The FCC FM Query database reports the date of 7/1/1986, and if my memory serves me correctly, the format switch to AC from BM occurred shortly after, on July 10 1986, not 1987.
