Notability
[edit]I noticed you stopped by this aricle @Sammi Brie, do you have any thoughts on its notability? Pretty much everything I can find about KFDS-FM is talking about a completely different station in Mountain Grove, Missouri. I was going to PROD but there's already been a bunch of work trying to clean up the page and its history. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 15:08, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Reconrabbit This station is the former KPWB-FM, as in KPWB (AM). That article did not exist until I noticed it was missing. I had to respond earlier this week to a double-article cut-and-paste move situation (which should have been a chain move). We're in a tough situation because I think the notability case mostly runs through the content in KPWB (AM), and that is not much at all to be honest, but the change in frequency, call sign, and city of license go along with a transmitter move to get it out of this area (they're rimshotting areas to the northeast). The Mountain Grove station became KELE (FM). The articles are where they need to be; FCCdata has not parsed this change correctly but FCC LMS has. - Thank you for the explanation. On the scale of articles about poorly documented radio stations I don't think this is particularly problematic. Action can wait. Of course if you find anything to add it's greatly appreciated. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 16:24, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Reconrabbit Added what was relevant from KPWB (AM) and corrected the start date. For context, because radio stations in the US are call sign–titled, when they move, especially like this with multiple call sign changes at once (we had KFDS-FM → KELE (FM) and KPWB-FM → KFDS-FM in one fell swoop), there is almost always a need for a page mover (or admin). It is for this reason I have page mover in the first place, but with the cut-and-paste performed here, an admin was required to fix the histories. My move log is full of chain and round-robin moves. - Thanks. Hopefully come June you'll be able to handle these on your own. I just happened upon it because the undeletion left it unreviewed but there's clearly plenty to use. -- Reconrabbit (talk) 16:53, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
