Food safety scandal in Denmark, June 2025

I just added this controversy to the end of the controversies section. So far, the only available sources are the TV station DR and the official inspection reports by the Government, both of which I cite as sources. Seems most other sources are just describing the DR reporting of the situation . In particular, I could not find an official statement from KFC Western Europe, only the quoting of such an alleged statement by DR. Jbohmdk (talk) 23:14, 25 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

It would be interesting to know if all of the restaurants were owned by the same person, but I didn't see any mention in the source. I tweaked the wording, but it could probably use some trimming. I don't think it needs all of those details, just a tight summary. Schazjmd (talk) 23:23, 25 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

I agree Schazjmd that the content should probably be trimmed. I think there is an excessive amount of detail about this.

Guidelines at WP:CRIT also state that "In most cases, editors should avoid devoting a section to criticisms or controversies, as this violates neutral point of view. These sections call undue attention to negative viewpoints by giving them their own header; are not balanced, because they exclude positive information about the topic; create the appearance of a controversy, even if there isn't one; and often devolve into laundry lists of complaints, without regard for their notability or validity."

There are currently, at the time of this edit, 15 paragraphs in the "Controversies and criticism" section of the article, including the long paragraph about the 2025 Food safety scandal in Denmark. I think 15 paragraphs for this section is an excessive amount of detail and in my view there is WP:UNDUE weight given to some of the long list of complaints against KFC.
