- This seems to have been resolved. The source now points to the GitHub repository where the logo and a clear license statement (matching the metadata) can be found. --Egon Willighagen (talk) 15:56, 10 August 2018 (UTC)

- Hi @Randykitty:, I misunderstood the exact reason of the tag... it's clear to me know. I am trying to get the journal to clarify things, maybe even upload the logo themselves... what would be best practice in your opinion? --Egon Willighagen (talk) 05:56, 11 August 2018 (UTC)
- The easiest thing to do would be to upload it to enWP, not Commons, under fair use (which is not acceptable on Commons). You can do this yourself and the journal doesn't have to change a thing on their website. --Randykitty (talk) 08:30, 11 August 2018 (UTC)

- Hi @Randykitty:, hi bot, the original creator of the logo has now uploaded the logo to WikiCommons. I have updated to use this version. Is the issue sufficiently addressed now? If not, what else can the journal and/or creator of the logo do to solve the problem? --Egon Willighagen (talk) 16:21, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
