U.S. Navy rank

The article says "Lieutenant" and cites a reference that does not mention any rank at all. When Fryday testified before Congress in 2013 (the last year of his Navy service), his rank was given as Lieutenant. His personal website and campaign website do not seem to say anything about his Navy rank. Many other websites state he was a Lieutenant Commander but do not cite a source. Lieutenant Commander is only one rank above Lieutenant, so it's entirely possible he got promoted between testifying and resigning his commission, but we can't just assume that. ~2026-28975-37 (talk) 02:50, 14 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
