Last living Pour le Merite recipient ?

At the end of the article, it states: "He was at that time the last surviving bearer of the Pour le Merite order." Jacobs died in 1978 - however Ernst Junger, another WW1 German officer, also had the Blue Max, as it is sometimes called. Junger died in 1998 at 102 yrs. Perhaps we are trying to say that Jacobs was the last pilot alive w/ the Pour le Merite?...I'll await comments, but if there are no objections (stating verifiable sources), I'll delete that claim soon. Remvd the line above...by the way, Ernst Junger's Wiki bio makes the same claim (that he was the last living recipient). Based on their dates of death, Junger has this distinction...If anyone reverts the Jacobs article, please qualify the claim (last pilot recipient; last Bavarian, or whatever)...Engr105th (talk) 19:59, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

B class assessment re-confirmed. However, please read on. The introduction reads as follows, "Jacobs joined the Luftwaffe reserves as a major, but refused to join the Nazi party." More information please?

What were the names of his parents? Did he have any siblings? If so, what were their names? Did he ever marry? If he did, who did he marry? Did he have any children? IF so, what were their names? And what did he do during World War II?
