This could be tied to the Col. James Barrett House, which is nearby, and whose inhabitants may have been part of a loosely organized group associated with a tavern in the Hildreth Corners area, whether during the colonial period or afterwards. The activities in the area were industrial and agricultural in nature, perhaps offseting, in some ways, (with their practicality, perhaps) the more intellectually literate part of the Concord population nearer the town center. This material is not yet clearly enough developed, however; I am in the process of researching another house in the area; ties to this part of the town suggest this different complexion from "Concord Intellectualism" may have existed.108.20.41.15 (talk) 15:16, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
