His measurements are clearly a lie, is there something that can done about it?

I've been searching on the internet for some more info about his claims and found this reddit post that contains a link to a video interview with him (NSFW), showing his penis, flaccid and erect. We can clearly see that it really is him (the face is identical) and we can also see that his erect size is clearly not 13.5 inches. That is roughly the distance between a pubic bone and a xiphoid (the lower end of the sternum) on an average man. His penis length is only about half of that distance, so in reality, it's about 7-8 inches.

I believe that Wikipedia should fight against myths, especially lies like this, that can make other people insecure about their anatomy. The question is, how.

I know that Wikipedia probably can't reference a porn video, but I still think that we should find a way how to make it more clear in this article that his penis size claims are just unreal claims of a liar. Up to this day, I always believed (since my age of 12 or so) that there are people on the planet that have 13.5 inches penis and that Jonah Falcon is their king. But most likely, it is not even possible and this guy is a liar making millions of men insecure about their anatomy.

I also think that removing the info about his penis from this Wikipedia page would not be the best decision. I think people searching "Jonah Falcon" on google should find a Wikipedia page that tells them that his claims are not real.

@Rihadavid: I am actually familiar with the porn video in question, and I also thought his penis looked rather small for a person with a "13.5 inch" cock.. One explanation could be that he was only semi-erect rather than having a full erection. If you have any reliable sources that question the authenticity of his claim, then we should add them and give due weight to those claims. It's worth noting that the article already says "Falcon has not authorized or permitted independent verification of this figure", which is definitely a start. Big penis claims are a dime a dozen

I grew up in the 00s. I feel like the Rolling Stone article and the 'World's Biggest Penis' documentaries were big deals and would come up repeatedly if you were into weird stories. On the internet during that time, you would often hear about Falcon without ever searching him out. In a way, he was similar to something like Rotten.com. So, to me it makes sense why there's a Wikipedia article about him and why his claim is "notable" today. Because of the part it had in 'pop culture,' it's different than just some random dude claiming online he has an X-inch wang.

Still, all that said, his claim and lack of evidence is ridiculous. Looking back on it now, it's so strange that it got as far as it did and that there's any debate around it today. 121.200.5.55 (talk) 04:34, 18 November 2024 (UTC)

No scientific/medical verification of Matt Barr exists

The article currently mentions Matt Barr: "over 14 inches, making it the world's biggest penis confirmed by independent medical studies"

The existence of such "independent medical studies" are a claim by Matt himself, who has not named any of the "multiple" entities that have verified his size, nor has he done the obvious thing and just posted a picture of it. None of the three sources referenced give any further information either, they seem to be taking him at his word for it. This should be removed unless a valid study can be found (which it won't, Matt is lying and no such study exists), or at least changed to clarify that Matt claims to have a larger penis. I would argue that he should be removed entirely, however, as he's just another dick charlatan claiming to have the world's largest penis.

Roberto Cabrera was also a fraud, he used weights to extend his foreskin and has a 6 inch penis. this is mentioned, but should be made more clear. neither Roberto or Matt should be listed as "more credible" contenders, as their claims are just as dubious.
