I cleaned up this article somewhat and added an infobox, but have limited time. I don't have access to the West Virginia resources needed to complete it, nor the Eicher book on which this article had previously relied. Thus I don't know whether the correct page number is 577 or 767. I also saw a grave for a Frank Hereford Witcher born after the Civil War around 1872, and don't know his relation to Vincent or this John, nor this John's relation to Vincent. The Civil War divided families, especially those from this mountain region. Oddly, Vincent practiced law after the Civil War in Utah, before moving back to Virginia, and this John Witcher lived in Salt Lake City after 1891. I don't know what the Utah Commission was, although I have seen references to the involvement of several West Virginians with it. Jweaver28 (talk) 00:19, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
