Comment: Resubmitting after the August 1 decline, which cited insufficient independent secondary sourcing for notability and a résumé/CV structure. This version makes the notability case under WP:AUTHOR on the independent reception of Hall's treatise Search and Seizure rather than on his career: independent book reviews in the University of Richmond Law Review and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Law Journal; a 2000 Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy article by Timothy Lynch that calls Hall a "Fourth Amendment scholar" and uses the treatise repeatedly; a 2024 George Mason Law Review comment citing the fifth edition; and citation of the treatise by state and federal courts. The article is now organized around that scholarship and its reception, and connected or primary sources are used only for straightforward biographical, publication, and case facts. The earlier version carried an AI-generated maintenance tag, which I have removed because it does not reflect this content: the article has been substantially rewritten, reflects my editorial judgment throughout, and every source in it has been independently checked by me against the original document. Some of the research and drafting used AI tools, and I am disclosing that here rather than leaving it implied.I am the subject's sister; that conflict of interest is disclosed on the draft talk page, and I am submitting through Articles for Creation for independent review rather than moving the draft to mainspace directly.
