Up for deletion. Article written by subject himself. Check edit history of account that wrote article. Should be deleted. Goes against wikipedia terms Bnedits (talk) 12:30, 13 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Revise the log of the contributor. Whole project a vanity, self-a grandeur. Article written in promotional style. Imperative to delete Bnedits (talk) 12:40, 13 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
"Some reason" is not a valid speedy deletion criterion, nor is what you describe here. Again, this article was reviewed and accepted by an independent editor. If there are specific portions that are promotional, please describe them here. 331dot (talk) 12:44, 13 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
You are free to begin an Articles for Deletion discussion. However, you will need to provide better reasons than you have thus far, and those reasons should ideally be based in Wikipedia policies, or you would need to show errors by the independent reviewer that accepted the draft. It is not against policy for someone to submit a draft about themselves. 331dot (talk) 12:59, 13 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Did you even read the article? It reads like a commercial. The wikipedia magic project rated it low because it lacks relevance. Wikipedia states that promotional articles are grounds for deletion Bnedits (talk) 13:00, 13 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Then you should start a deletion discussion, see WP:AFD, and make your case there, if you truly feel that the article is irreparable. Otherwise, you should point out the specific problematic areas here for repair. I stress this has already been reviewed by an independent reviewer. You appear to have created this account for the expressed purpose of getting this article deleted, yet you are familiar with areas of Wikipedia not typically known to new users. Is this your first account? If you have an interest in getting this article deleted, please disclose that per WP:COI. 331dot (talk) 13:03, 13 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Not my first account. I have been a wikipedia editor for 10+years. Wikipedia policy clearly says: “ Wikipedia is not a soapbox, a battleground, or a vehicle for propaganda, advertising, and showcasing.” Either we follow the policies or we don’t. Bnedits (talk) 13:07, 13 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
If the Reply function doesn't permit you to post at the bottom, please click "edit" at the top instead, so posts stay in order. Please detail the specific passages that you view as promotional. It's certainly possible that the independent editor missed them, but that isn't necessarily grounds for deletion if we can fix them. If you want to argue that he is not notable, you can do so in a deletion discussion, but just the fact that it is autobiographical is not itself a reason for deletion, per the policies I have already indicated. You seem strongly personally invested in getting this article deleted. 331dot (talk) 13:12, 13 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I am not. I am invested in preserving the history and relevance of the art of magic and mentalism. On the main article of Mentalism, which leads through here, there are many individuals who constantly edit themselves into wikipedia to promote themselves and lack relevance. Anyhow. Not worth my time I suppose. Let’s allow anyone and everyone to write themselves in and lower the quality of wikipedia. Have a great day Bnedits (talk) 13:18, 13 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
As I said, you are free to start an Articles for Deletion discussion where you argue Mr. Rotellini is not notable; if you want to change Wikipedia policy to disallow autobiographies completely, you can certainly work to do that. Have a nice day. 331dot (talk) 13:24, 13 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
