Middle name
[edit]Despite the BioGuide entry, from literature searches nearly every contemporary source that uses a middle name uses "Murray", not "Murry". Murray is seen in facsimiles of his signature (e.g. New York State's prominent and progressive men), in his 1903 passport application, and his tombstone at Green-Wood Cemetery. Note he also sometimes went by "J. Murray Mitchell", same as his son and grandson, J. Murray Mitchell. I have corrected the article accordingly. --Animalparty! (talk) 19:54, 17 February 2025 (UTC)
