Simply John Chan will be good enough given that no disambiguation is necessary. And no we rarely use middle names or other given names to disambiguate unless those names are commonly known in the English language. It's a Hong Kong person, and HK is an English speaking locality, where English is also a legislative language. We don't spell UK people using US conventions, I see no reason why we should follow US convention when HK has its own English conventions -- 70.24.247.127 (talk) 04:28, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
