John Balbach: Again. His grandson Louis James Balbach won a bronze medal for Diving in the 1920 Olympics. I have information and pictures of several family members: Whilhelmina Benner Balbach, the same picture you have of John Balbach, Louis James Balbach and his siblings John Raymond Balbach and Merle Laura Balbach. I may have a picture of Louis A. Balbach, John's son. I'm not certain it's him. I took it from my grandmother's locket. It was very tiny, and I did my best with it. My grandmother Merle and her parents and siblings lived with John Balbach and his wife until - at least - Louis A. Balbach's death when my grandmother was about eight years old. She told me the story about the first plow, and inspired me to look for articles on John. I have two others. ~2026-13002-43 (talk) 21:19, 27 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
