Branding update: Journal now styled JoVE

[edit]

Hi everyone,

The journal previously titled Journal of Visualized Experiments is now officially styled as JoVE, as reflected on its website and in citations. Reliable sources include [JoVE’s official site or publisher page].
I’d like to update the lead and references throughout to reflect the current branding. Does anyone object? Happy to discuss prefacing with “(formerly Journal of Visualized Experiments)” if that helps.
Thanks! Andthen121 (talk) 14:37, 1 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
Definitely good to match their current site. Given how long they had a former name, and our article to match, and that the new name is simply an acronym of it, the idea of "formerly..." sounds like a good approach. Per Manual of Style, the article title is the key, with the article's main terminology to match it. WP:RM is the process for getting an article renamed. But you broke the process (not moving this talkpage) and you did not follow through on your proposal that I seconded ("formerly...") that is supported by numerous cited refs. I have done those for you. DMacks (talk) 22:30, 2 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
