Date of death

[edit]

Well, the date 31 March 1908 is used in the article, and that's from the Spartacus biography. However, the Aston Villa profile gives his date of death as 31 May 1908, and the official Burnley history book says it was 18 June 1908. How can we determine which is correct? Someone could look up his death certificate through Ancestry.co.uk or FreeBMD. Or at present the infobox could just be amended to 1908 which is representative of all the sources and a line could be added to say that his date of death was reported between March and May 1908 in the main article. I just did it. 18 June 1908. "James William Crabtree of 14 Gower Street, Aston, Warwickshire, died 18 June 1908.". Source: England & Wales, National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills and Administrations), 1858-1995, Records (1909). Website: www.ancestry.co.uk. Mountaincirquetalk 13:38, 22 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
