Untitled

[edit]

Jimmy Clitheroe is freferenced by the Clitheroe page as not coming from Clitheroe but instead from nearby Colne. However he has other cultural links with the town, besides its namesake.

Died aged 51 and his career spanned five decades!
How old was he when he started performing, then?

Callboy

[edit]

In the early 1950s Jimmy Clitheroe had a radio show, "Callboy" held in a mythical northern theatre. His catch phrase at the time "overture and beginners please." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.93.199.154 (talk) 15:36, 7 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
