Ethnicity

[edit]

I am a Varney & descendant of Jim. I've added our families ethno-racial identity to his page as this is important to the family. 75.118.249.65 (talk) 00:05, 15 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

And it's been removed twice because Wikipedia requires third-party reliable sources. Your personal testimony does not qualify. OhNoitsJamie Talk 01:11, 15 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
You have a lot of nerve! The man would know his own family better than any 'third party'! Stop the rudeness. 98.123.126.45 (talk) 08:12, 3 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
And the catch phrase was 'knowwhatImeanVern'- not "knowwhatulmeanvern". 98.123.126.45 (talk) 08:13, 3 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
I’m not sure who you are. I can’t see your name but I’m Jim Varney’s niece. He was my mother’s only brother. My brother is the author of the book The Importance of Being Ernest. I have seen many people claiming to be a member of our family who are not. Not sure why. We don’t have a huge family so I know right away who is legitimate. Jacqueline Drew

[edit]

Someone should research Jacqueline Drew. I knew her in Fort Myers, Fl in the 80’s and then she left. She had a story I’ll bet. She had twin boys that she said were Jim Varney’s children. 2601:800:4000:1480:B0D5:AC87:EFA:274 (talk) 00:39, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Jaqui is how we know her. They divorced when I was young. She had twins prior to their marriage. He never fathered any children. The twins’ last name is Hinkle. I am his niece. Jim was my mother’s only brother. Andrea Varney-Lloyd (talk) 02:59, 10 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Varney Rumors

[edit]

I am Jim Varney’s niece. My brother is Justin Lloyd and he wrote the book about our uncles life titled The Importance of Being Ernest. I’m shocked at some comments on here. I definitely don’t know why people are posting so much nonsense. It’s just really rediculous and rude to our family. To the other legitimate posts, thank you for the love and devotion to a wonderful person who was taken from us way too soon. I loved him and spent the last 18 months of his life with him. Ex Wife Jane

[edit]

Jane was married to my uncle Jim Varney for a little over 2 years. She would never take his name until he passed. She continues to go by Varney for some reason. They never had children. Her nephew also goes by Varney for some reason. He’s an actor who I’m guessing is using the name to help make his big break. Andrea Varney-Lloyd (talk) 03:16, 10 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
