Reference to "old song" Dandy Jim, From Caroline

[edit]

It seems noncommittal to call "Dandy Jim, From Caroline" an "old song" and not state that it was a popular black minstrel song in the 1840s. A quick Internet search turned up sheet music published in 1844. University of Virginia's Uncle Tom's Cabin and American Culture has a page which says it was published by at least six publishers in 1844. It is a small change but "old" is just unnecessarily vague.
