Is there a reason Carrey is called a "Canadian and American" actor, instead of a "Canadian-American" actor? OrdinaryOtter (talk) 11:46, 16 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

In the United States, it is common to refer to people with some hyphenated form of American (e.g. Italian-American or African-American) to indicate their heritage. An Italian-American is not necessarily an Italian citizen, and an African-American may never have set foot in Africa.
I suppose that's the reason Jim Carrey is called "Canadian and American". To make it clear that he is indeed a Canadian citizen and not simply an American who can trace his ancestry to Canada. ~2026-13846-72 (talk) 16:30, 3 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Change "He was raised Catholic and has three older siblings" to "He was raised Catholic and had three older siblings." in the early life section, as this reflects past tense appropriately for biographical context. ~2026-18496-51 (talk) 03:03, 25 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Change is him name, in his early life he was raised catholic and had three brothers or sisters, therefore he was the youngest sibling in his biographical group! ~2026-27406-52 (talk) 06:05, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
