No mention of the JDL in the UK?

I thought that this was strange as at one point (2010's) this was a thing, is there a reason for no mention or would this be a good addition? SP00KYtalk 18:16, 13 July 2025 (UTC)

October 6, 1970 Bombing Motivation Attribution - edit request on 20 August 2025

In section "History" within "1970" is a description of the bombing of the PLO's New York office, of which the JDL is suspected. The implied motivation for the bombing is contained in the description of the bombing having been done "after the PLO hijacked four airliners the previous month." This is not a statement of fact. The four airliners in question were hijacked by The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). The PFLP are a PLO member, however the use of "PLO" to describe the organization of the hijackers is unnecessarily broad and should be changed, at the very least, to, "PFLP, a member of the PLO,". 173.53.41.183 (talk) 18:01, 20 August 2025 (UTC)

Hi Symport antiport, I think it is a rather big section that describes the German situation, so to add the whole section here is too much. However, our article doesn't even mention that JDL also is active in Germany, so you could start by writing one or two sentences about that, with sources, and then create a new edit request. It still needs consensus when it's a designated terrorist organization in a major country? I'm curious if there was a talk discussion when ISIS was, rightfully, added. (Also what do you mean by "Individual terrorist organizations are not currently included in Template:Terrorism."? I am confused. @Urropean Looking at Hamas and Al-Qassam Brigades, designated by many more countries and still not considered terrorist, shouldn't the same standard apply here? I am myself not sure, as I see it, they clearly are a terror organization. NorthernWinds (talk) 06:51, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
