Suggesting to break Shine into its own subsection

[edit]

Hi!

For readability purposes, I previously published an edit that broke Shine into its own subsection. Before I could continue editing and revise the subheader it was already included in, my edit was reverted. I would like to propose this edit for ease of reading for the users, as this is quite a wordy section in itself.

Rather than engage in an edit war with the user who reverted the edits, I am bringing the discussion here to abide by Wiki code of conduct. Would love any input! Thanks.

Unnecessary per MOS and NPOV. It does not even improve readability, and there was no readability issue to begin with. If anything, it disrupts the flow, gives the passage undue promotional weight and unnecessary emphasis, and casts the subject in a more favorable light. — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 17:00, 12 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your input! Was just looking for a gut check! All set with this then, happy to leave as-is. DessHolliday (talk) 17:16, 12 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
The current headings divide her career neatly in chronological sections, and her novels are not notable enough to warrant their own section(s) separate from this style. On top of that, the section they're in is not "wordy" at all, it covers three years (2017, 2018, 2019) in three clear paragraphs, and it's shorter than both of the sections that precede it. Thanks for moving the chat with me here. Happy to leave as-is, just wanted to discuss reasoning without either of us getting flagged for an edit war. Will leave as-is. DessHolliday (talk) 17:17, 12 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
