Digital Cable footnote

[edit]

This article claims that Jerrold equipment has been generally retired in favour of digital cable, but various Jerrold branded equipment is very much digital cable (and 2-way) capable, such as the JLX-7-750P/LC/40 model line extender, which my area deploys widely.

Simply put, digital cable could be used with ancient Century III 330MHz line extenders, couplers, and combiners, provided the QAM frequencies for the digital transmissions are within the spectrum available for that equipment. In other words, this last statement is totally baseless. Vallidor (talk) 02:05, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
