Requesting review and potential removal of COI maintenance tag

Hi everyone,

I am the subject of this article. I am writing to request a review of the "close connection" maintenance tag currently on this page.

I understand the importance of maintaining neutrality and avoiding conflicts of interest, and I believe the article is written in a neutral, encyclopedic, and fact-based manner. The content is fully supported by reliable, independent secondary sources by all who have edited it. I have personally not made any edits.

I would appreciate it if a volunteer editor could take a look at the current state of the page. If the article meets Wikipedia’s standards for neutral, independent coverage, I kindly request that the maintenance tag be removed.

I am requesting an update to note that I teach creative writing and translation at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).

Because the UTD Coursebook relies on a guided search portal, a direct URL to the results page cannot be generated, but it can be publicly verified using the following steps:

1. Go to the official UTD Coursebook:

2. Under the **Term** dropdown, select "Search All Terms".

3. Under the **Instructor** dropdown, search for and select "Bhatt, Jenny".

4. Click search to view the complete history of courses taught (including CRWT 2301, CRWT 3330, and RHET 1302).

Hi Jenny, needing to search like this feels to me like undertaking original research which is not allowed on wikipedia. It would be better if there is a secondary source available that states that you are a teacher there, or in the absence of that, a primary source stating that. My view would be that until that can be provided, the information would not go in the article. Thank you Melcous (talk) 00:55, 5 August 2026 (UTC)

Requested change: Please update the article to reflect my current position. I am the subject of this article and therefore have a conflict of interest, so I am requesting that an uninvolved editor make the change.

Suggested wording: "Bhatt is associate director of the Rainer Schulte Center for Translation Studies at the University of Texas at Dallas and teaches the undergraduate translation workshop."
