Possible birth year inaccuracy

Jennifer English's birth year is currently set as 1995. This is most likely inaccurate as she graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2012 (https://www.bcu.ac.uk/conservatoire/acting/our-graduates/2012) from their BA programme, listed as 3 years on their website (https://www.bcu.ac.uk/conservatoire/courses/acting-ba-hons-2026-27#course_in_depth). At the time of her admission in 2009, the school required A-Levels and GCSEs to audition (https://web.archive.org/web/20081211131214/http://www.bsa.bcu.ac.uk/Courses/acting_entryreqs.html), however with the current birth year of 1995 listed, that would put her starting age for a university level programme at 14. A-Levels typically are taken between the ages of 16-18 in the UK depending on the exam taker's birthday, and this, combined with a graduation year of 2012, suggests an earlier birth year, somewhere between 1990-1993. Hey there, just saw this. I just removed both instances of a birth date; it seems like one was added a few weeks ago, using a UK government site called Companies House as a source [even though a citation was not included in the edit].

Companies House cannot be used a source per WP:BLPPRIMARY: 'Do not use public records that include personal details, such as date of birth, home value, traffic citations, vehicle registrations, and home or business addresses'. I'm just adding this here as a general statement for other editors to see on this page if needed.

I think that, until there's a solid secondary source that's reliable and verifiable to support a birth date, it's a good idea to leave it out. I haven't been able to find a solid source for it yet, but maybe that'll change in future. Pikkupapupata ^💌 🌷 04:08, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
