Tom Lehrer and the Jell-O Shot

I cannot seem to find any evidence of him claiming to be the inventor of the Jell-O Shot. One source is a dead link, the other links to an article which itself gives no source for this claim. Furthermore, this article claims that he invented this during his time in the Navy, when the article on Tom Lehrer himself states that he served in the Army. Its source, too, is a dead link. If anyone happens to know a primary source of Tom Lehrer stating that he is the inventor of the Jell-O Shot, i would appreciate the old references be replaced with a link to the primary source. There's a link on the article about Tom Lehrer that might serve. It's already been fixed to use the Internet Archive. I'd add it myself, but I'm way too out-of-practice at Wiki magic. 192.184.206.157 (talk) 04:51, 17 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

That's probably as close to a primary source as we'll get.

Also, the entire confusion around wether he was in the Army or Navy has since cleared up upon further research. He was officially working for the Army, but assigned to a Navy base. The reason for this was that he actually worked for the CIA, but its mere existance was classified at the time. HolyPastrami (talk) 14:05, 31 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
