I met Shelton about a few years ago during a downtown architectural walking tour of his buildings organized by the City of Santa Barbara. I did not receive compensation for this submitted article, or any of my other articles. I commit to following Wikipedia’s goals of neutrality, verifiability, no original research and civility. Now that this article has been live for a year, I would like to add a photograph of Jeff Shelton to the page. Photographer Tal Avitzur has agreed to release a photo he took of Jeff Shelton holding a model of a proposed Garden Street mixed-use building after a Landmarks Commission Committee meeting. I will ensure the proper creative commons / Wikimedia Commons licensing is submitted. Please let me know if there are any thoughts or feedback regarding this addition.
