Ameena Matthews and The Interrupters
[edit]There is no mention of his daughter Ameena Matthews who works to prevent violence on the Chicago streets. She is one of the subjects of the Oscar nominated documentary The Interrupters. It seems this should be added somewhere.
Untitled
[edit]This seems to be a serious article. Here is a possible source http://www.theurbantwist.com/news/122/ARTICLE/1953/2007-11-14.html agr 23:42, 20 December 2007
- Yes, I saw who he was after I marked it for delete. Boy, those gang articles are rough! No harm though, it is WP:BLP and can be recreated with sources at any time. --Alfadog (talk) 03:45, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
- I recreated it with a great source. He is obviously notable and in a very current manner. I will add to it as I have the time. --Alfadog (talk) 04:00, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
"jeff fort he have 12 kids" at the end of this article seems to be out of place. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 153.91.113.101 (talk) 22:43, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
Initial draft
[edit]I wrote up a first draft of a Bio with a basic chronological sketch. This probably needs cleanup and balance fixes. Notably absent from this draft are the Black Panthers, involvement with the civil rights movement, and the Nixon invite. I'll try to work those in. • Gene93k (talk) 18:07, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
"In" vs. "on."
[edit]Throughout the article, the author uses the formulation "in the South Side" rather than "on the South Side." I have lived in Chicago for over 40 years, read its newspapers religiously and thousands of articles in national print media, and hundreds of books about the city. I have never seen this formulation in reference to broad areas of the city even once prior to this article. Why do you keep saying "in" rather than "on"?Maccb (talk) 02:07, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
