Darwinek, please stop re-adding the reference to Alex de Waal on the Jebel Marra webpage. This is an an inapropriate and unsuitable reference source for a geological item. Please use a better geographical-based source for this item about Jebel Marra's climate instead. Thank you.

For some reason, some people (who I wonder) seem keen to add Alex de Waal's name to every Sudan-related page, even when quite innapropriate.

Possible AI-generated content

Hi -- I have tagged the section added by User:Vallee as potentially LLM-generated. The diff, and a great deal of their other contributions, displays several AI writing tells (e.g. "In summary..."; there are more, this is an example) and their userpage is a giveaway they use AI for at least some things. I was offline for some time.

Yes, indeed, I used AI for translations, proofing, and for wiki-formatting.

However, I did it on the basis of serious scientific articles (mostly sciencedirect, JSTOR, or books), which I always referenced correctly. Before hitting the post button, I always checked if the data is accurate.

It was in a phase during which I made a lot of QGIS maps, and was frustrated by the emptyness of the corresponding pages, which I wanted to populate with accurate, retracable information.

I hope this explains the approach.
