Episode list
[edit]I believe we should remove the YouTube episode lists because they are unnecessary and give extra weight to these particular video series. Other notable YouTubers do not normally have these types of episode lists for YouTube only series. Also this list keeps getting removed by various editors so I think it would be suitable to reach a consensus. Jay Foreman photo
[edit]Is it copyrighted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SterlingPound4 (talk • contribs)
user:92.23.210.62, claims to be the wife of Jay Foreman, which would make it not copyrighted. Sahaib3005 (talk) 14:16, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Sahaib3005, it would still be copyrighted but licensed, I'm disputing the status of the photo though as I don't think there's enough evidence, and if it was added by the wife then a WP:COI should've been declared by the editor themselves. ✨ Ed talk! ✨ 03:38, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
- Hello. Jay’s wife here. What is a WP:COI please? I’ve been trying the that awful photo for years. ForemanFan36 (talk) 22:29, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry. Some of my text disappeared. I was trying to take down the awful photo in the red T-shirt for a long time and now it’s been replaced with yet another awful photo of him looking intoxicated. Both of which are decades old. If anyone is able to give me guidance on how I can provide Wikipedia with a up to date and decent photo, I’d greatly appreciate it. ForemanFan36 (talk) 22:37, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- @ForemanFan36: Hello -- you should be able to click on WP:COI, which will take you to Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. In short, at the very least, you should follow the instructions at this link to declare your conflict of interest. The easiest thing to do, in my opinion, is to place the following code on your user page: {{UserboxCOI|1=Jay_Foreman_(comedian)}}
- To upload a new image of Foreman, you will need to follow the instructions at this link (assuming that you own the intellectual rights to the image you want to upload).
- Pay particular attention to Step 4, "Has your work been published before?" If you are attempting to upload an image that has been published elsewhere, there is a high probability that it will be flagged as a copyright violation. To avoid this, you will need to follow the instructions at that page to ensure that the volunteers at Wikimedia Commons (where most Wikipedia images are uploaded) are aware that the image is OK to publish on Wikimedia Foundation sites.
- Once the image is uploaded, come back to this talk page and note that you uploaded a new image and want to have it added to the article. (Because you have a conflict of interest, as someone with a personal connection with the article subject, our site guidelines discourage you from replacing the image yourself.) Other editors will review the image and, if appropriate, can add the image to the article. Aoi (青い) (talk) 22:53, 8 July 2025 (UTC)

COI tag (October 2021)
[edit]I think there's definitely something fishy going on with this article, with long lists of unnotable awards, edits from somebody claiming to be his wife who says "we strongly dislike the photo of him in the red shirt" (see Special:Contributions/92.23.210.62), along with most edits here being from unregistered accounts or IPs, I think a COI tag is worthy here, at least until a rewrite happens. ✨ Ed talk! ✨ 03:44, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
- @Ed6767: Hi, according to Jay Foreman himself, it is his wife and they'd like the current photo removed from the article. Here's proof. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Palkia3030 (talk • contribs)
- Palkia3030, that's good news! Better images are needed, but we can't just take people's word for saying who they say they are so removal and deletion is standard procedure to be on the safe side. If you have direct email contact with Foreman, you should direct him to email permissions-commons
wikimedia.org with the appropriate images and license release so that they can be uploaded to Commons without issue (see commons:Commons:Volunteer Response Team for more info). Hope this helps. ✨ Ed talk! ✨ 01:16, 24 October 2021 (UTC)

Lead section
[edit]This article's lead section is "Jay Benjamin Foreman (born 4 October 1984) is an English comedian, YouTuber, educator, and singer-songwriter." Considering that his family is Jewish, shouldn't the lead section be changed to "Jay Benjamin Foreman (born 4 October 1984) is an Anglo-Jewish comedian, YouTuber, educator, and singer-songwriter."? Just a question. Crocusfleur (talk) 20:45, 21 June 2025 (UTC)
- No, because, per MOS:BIOFIRSTSENTENCE, the first sentence of a biography generally provides a person's nationality, which in this case is English or British. Aoi (青い) (talk) 02:56, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
Unfinished London isn't finished
[edit]The article cited in the section talking about Unfinished London doesn't seem to mention the series having finished anywhere, and if you sort the comments on the latest video by most recent you can see Jay replying to comments saying that future episodes are still a possibility. Revirtualizer (talk) 08:12, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
- Agreed, and the source used in the article also makes it clear the series could return. I've edited the article. the wub "?!" 09:34, 19 August 2025 (UTC)
