That Jay is a also Name should be moved to Disambig Page!!
[edit]To Jimfbleak: I notice that you deleted my edit at 19:09, 28 January 2006. Why? I just moved the information that Jay is a name to Jay's disambig page. - There is already a {{other uses}} tag on the page, so there is no need for another pointer to the DAB page. There is no point having the "otheruses" template and still listing any of those uses. I notice that when you restored the duplicate link, it was reverted by someone else for exactly the same reason. jimfbleak 06:29, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
- I do not understand. I just deleted that "Jay is also a name" because I noitced that there is already a {{other users}} tag. I have never ever added any pointer to the DAB page. I DID NOT list any of those usese. ON THE CONTRARY, I DELETED the duplicate link. I really do not understand why you think I RESTORED the duplicate link. Crested Jay
[edit]It says here, w/o citation, that the Crested Jay is not in this family, but the actual Crested Jay article says it is. If there is a dispute about classification (common enough) it should probably be easily cited and both articles should include this. --Dhartung | Talk 23:54, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
The picture
[edit]Might it be better to have a picture of a Garrulus glandarius in the infobox as this is the bird that was the originally known as the jay? (Msrasnw (talk) 23:31, 4 April 2011 (UTC))
- Well except "the" Jay (as the Brits call it) is just one of many jays. So putting a photo of that species in just because it was the first one called jay isn't necessary. But we could certainly cycle through any number of nice jay pictures, of jays from all around the world. Feel free to do so, if you'd like, and if you have a nice photo of one. - @Zowietje:, because that Dutch article is about a particular SPECIES of jay, and this article is about ALL species of jays. The Dutch article is linked on the Eurasian Jay article. MeegsC (talk) 17:36, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
