Is this the same process/programming used by SETI to scan their GB of extra-terrestrial "radio noise" looking for patterns?Weaponofmassinstruction 06:21, 17 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Its a similar idea. SETI is platform dependant and written to perform 1 application only, whereas this system is platform independant and can execute multiple different applications/problems in parallel.
