Why an Australian?

[edit]

He was born in England, but when he rides internationally he rides under the Australian flag. Does anyone know the details? Did his parents move there when he was young? -- SteveCrook 00:48, 22 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

His father Phil Crump is a native Australian, he was riding for the Bristol Bulldogs speedway team when Jason was born and had a home in Bristol whilst racing in the British League. 88.107.150.23 09:54, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, that would explain it. I'll add that to the article -- SteveCrook 10:59, 29 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Also would pay to note that he would have the choice to ride under a british or australian license, but chose to stay aussie. Some GB fans have campaigned to get the rules changed, so he would represent Team GB, however this has died down, mainly because GB are doing a similar thing with Tai Woffinden, who is an australian speedway rider representing Team GB. Dont know if it can be added in any way, just thought i would make it clearer (hopefully!) Infernoradio 22:29, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Tai Woffinden born in England and so are both of his parents. Slightly different. Hammer1980·talk 16:38, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
