- I will chope my place first, planning to review later once I get back to my computer. I've done a copyvio check, and it produced a "Copyvio unlikely" result, so that's settled. If you don't hear back from me within 24 hours, then I will let someone else do the review. Then again, this is my first review, so either way, I'll need a second opinion. But I'm planning to nominate a DYK soon, so I guess I need to know the reviewing experience...? Hason-LEK-🇸🇬 ● 💬 ● 🧱 ● 🧪 00:52, 9 August 2026 (UTC)

- @Hason-LEK-SIN: thanks and Happy National Day! By the way, I used WP:Prosesize to calculate the prose sizes; the sizes I gave in the nomination explicitly exclude HTML code other than running text. If you install the gadget and run it, ver. 1363292352 says both of these:
- 'Prose size (including all HTML code): 17 kB'
- 'Prose size (text only): 2084 B (346 words) "readable prose size"' (italics are mine)
- @Whyiseverythingalreadyused: I've installed the script. The version from 9 July produces:
Prose size (text only): 2084 B (346 words), while the current version producesProse size (text only): 20 kB (3311 words). Ignoring rounding, 2000 bytes = 2 kilobytes, so the difference between that version and the current version is a 10 times expansion (20/2=10). I'm sold.
Pass. (By the way, I've broken the indentation since it's a separate comment) Hason-LEK-🇸🇬 ● 💬 ● 🧱 ● 🧪 01:15, 10 August 2026 (UTC)

- The following list is taken from Wikipedia:Did you know/Reviewer instructions#Review the article(s) because the DYK checklist template is annoyingly inflexible:
Have you checked...
- ... that each boldlinked article is new enough?
If I'm being strict, I'd want to check if the 5x expansion is true, however, I can't really verify that, and IIRC the byte count from reftags isn't counted. Despite that, looking at this difference, I will trust what you are saying with the 5x expansion calculation. Since most edits were done between 4-9 Aug, the newness criteria gets a pass from me. But I would be pleased to know the proper way to do this.
- ... that each boldlinked article is long enough?

- ... that each boldlinked article is cited to reliable sources, neutral, BLP-compliant, and copyvio-free?

- ... that each boldlinked article is presentable?

- ... that the hook is verified to a reliable source, and that the hook facts appear in the boldlinked article(s)?

- ... that the hook is under 200 characters?

- ... that the hook is likely to intrigue a reader with no special knowledge or interest into visiting the boldlinked article(s)?

- ... that any images are freely licensed, clear at a diminished size, and used in the article?
no image, so irrelevant. - ... that the required number of QPQs have been submitted, and that they are valid reviews that have not been used elsewhere?

- ... that there are no other, more subjective issues?
For ALT0, would it be better if we use her real name instead of just showing the stage/professional name in the hook?
Addressed with ALT0a.
Overall:
Looks good overall, will prefer ALT0a. As a new reviewer, though, I will need to request a second opinion, or to ping the @DYK admins: , just to make sure everything is in order, so there's that. Either way, happy National Day, and enjoy the celebrations! 🇸🇬
