Undisclosed paid editing

[edit]

I have added an {{undisclosed paid}} tag to this article because of extensive editing by a spam sockfarm. Please see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/125BOP for evidence. --Blablubbs (talk) 11:17, 20 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi User:Blablubbs. I don't know if there's an rule on this or what common practice it, but it seems that having a {{upe}} template on an WP:BLP. If there's money changing hands, it's pretty strongly implied that the subject would very likely be the paying hand, and that's de facto an accusation. Even tho it's technically not article text, it's very much in the article for the reader to see, emphasized in fact.
Yes I get that one could say "oh come on it's just obvious" about any material in a BLP. In a non-BLP situation, Wikipedia:You don't need to cite that the sky is blue is in play, but for BLP you need stone solid proof if you're writing anything negative about the subject.
So I replaced that with {{COI}}, OK? Herostratus (talk) 04:25, 14 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
